It has been just so much like a fall day today.
I spent time hooking today at home, once I got back from my Dr. appt. It was thryoid checking time.
I am working on a Christmas rug out of one of the Needl Love books, I am such a fan of theirs. Also I love Whimsicals. In fact come to think about it, Patty and I have small quilts at the quilters now. Here it is before it went. This is called Midnight Stroll from Whimisicals Bits and Pieces book.
Patty had another beginner class today with 5 girls in it. I think only one was from Warsaw the rest were out of towners. We love how the word is spreading.
This week end Patty will be up around St. Louis vending her rug hooking supplies, wool, hooks, frames, patterns. I need to get better information on that for you, in case any one is close enough to go to it. The shop will be open, with little old me there.
I do think it is about time for our firepit to be built at the shop, so we can cook hotdogs outside and sit around a campfire when we have time. I sure hope Ozzie reads this.
Lets see what else did I want to tell you. Pretty quick Patty is going to start a blog so watch here and on the web site. That is www.saltboxprimitivewoolens.com to see when that happens. We wanted to get that done this week, but with getting her ready to go to St. Louis I'm not sure that will happen.
I will talk to you more about it later.
Katie
Thank you so much for the comment on my Blog. I have never done a rug in any cut other than an 8 either! I love 8 and 9 cuts! That said, I'm going to do a couple of the sunflowers on my rug in a 6 to get some depth in color. The quilt is just beautiful! I've never quilted before but might have to make it one of my 2009 resolutions!!
