primitive week end

Well, it is the week-end for all those who work.  Enjoy it to the fullest.

Last night was a womens gathering at church, you should have seen the cake.  The whole theme was about purses, and the cake was a purse, it was so pretty.Should learn to carry my camera.  Anyway,everyone that came brought all their purses they are not using, and we donate them to 3 different womens shelters.  It was amazing how many donated purses we had. Why do we all have so much "stuff" that we are not using. 

Today I work at Saltbox, I was there yesterday, and we were so busy, lots going on getting ready for another beginner class Sept 23 and a hook in Sept 27.  New wool is in and getting washed.  I am hooking a little square of each new piece so it can be preview before bought. It is always fun to see how it is going to look hooked.

I am excited, Maggie Bonanomi is going to be in Independence to teach a class in Octoberat Janice Johnsons,  hoping to go to that.  Than maybe we can talk to her about coming to Warsaw to teach a class.

 

This is a block of the month I just finished, it was so much fun to hook, don't ya just love chickens. I mean really.  Patty said her chicken are just now starting to lay. What fun to have your own eggs, and snakes and raccoons, and possums.  What a kill joy I am. Maybe Buzz the big black Lab will keep them away from the chickens.
