My dad is 97 years old today. Can you imagine the changes he has seen through his years. Cars, TV, computers, think of the easier trips to the dentist and Dr. than what it was way back than. I think food was safer and tasted better back then. They fried in good old bacon grease or lard. But they worked hard physically to counter act the effect of the foods they ate. Good old homemade biscuits and sausage gravy, homemade jelly and apple pie. OK OK enough, I haven't had breakfast.
So my sister and brother-in-law are coming down from Independence to celebrate. My sister and I don't get together as often as we would like, so when we do, our mouths go 90 miles an hour. My sister is a great primitive quilt artist under the name of Star Quilt company and Brannock and Patek (moda) fabric, so lots of creative is inspired by her. She is also a rug hooker, making her own designs mostly. She hooks with Janice Johnson's group in Independence. So today will be busy and fun. Than when they leave, my dad wants nothing more than to play bridge and since they don't play bridge, dad, brother, and I will play this evening. A four handed game with 3 people gets confusing sometimes. But , when it comes to bridge I am mostly confused.
So, here is a sneek preview of the work being done at the new shop, the girls will shot me when they see this. Ok having trouble with pictures, they will be in the next post.
You are right we would shoot you if we didn't love you so much!!
