My goodness if one inch of rain equals 10 inches of snow, we could have been in big trouble had it changed over. I believe western Kansas is really deep in snow. We sure did have the rain tho. I sure hope spring appears again this week.
Yesterday I worked the quilt gathering in Stover with Patty, we of course had a rug hooking booth, I think I got one picture which would be half the booth, it was so crowded most of the day. There had been a big snow storm predicted for us, so everyone was trying to beat the storm and get to the gathering and get home.
I did get my daughter and S-I-L rug done, but am having a lady who hooks with us show me how to get nicer smoother corners, so hope to learn that this week and may have to finish it while I am up there with my daughter, but that is OK because maybe my daughter will get hers out and hook on it with me.
Boy the colors look really washed out there, but that's the deal with camera's and computers.
I did find a pattern at the quilt show I am going to do. It is actually a 12 by 12 block on a stretcher frame. It reminds me of the type collage, mixed media, art journals, my daughter and I like so I thought I'd give it a try as soon as I get the fabric gathered up.
So I tried some Tide color exchange the other day. I had a shocking pink piece of wool and a camel color piece of wool and this is what I came up with.
Now I think it needs to be toned down with some primitive cushing dye.
It was fun to play with.
I can't believe I don't have another rug started yet. Patty did you read me, I have an open spot.
Everyone enjoy your Sunday, be thankful we are not snowed in or flooded out.
